Knife Angel Sculpture Announcement – Blackburn Cathedral Nov 2021

Knife Angel Briefing 1

Dear Colleagues

Many of you will be aware that the Knife Angel Sculpture will be visiting Lancashire in November and will be located outside the Cathedral in Blackburn.

A range of community and education events linked to the Knife Angel have already been planned and we are keen to maximise the potential of the visit by making as many community groups and schools aware of the opportunities that this visit creates. Details of these are available on the dedicated Knife Angel Lancashire website: www.KnifeAngelLancashire.co.uk where further information about the Knife Angel can also be found.

Attached is information for Youth and Community Group and details of the options for them to visit the Knife Angel, including booking a led workshop session for their group where they will be able to look at one of four key themes that link with the Knife Angel – “Why Knives?”; “Preventing Violence”; “Trauma and Harm” or “Building Resilience”.

If you are able to share this information with your networks and encourage any community groups that you have links with to consider a visit to the Knife Angel that would be appreciated.

If you need any further information that is not available on the Knife Angel Lancashire website www.KnifeAngelLancashire.co.uk please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thanks

Robert
