DUTTON PARISH COUNCIL

Minutes of the meeting of Dutton Parish Council, held at Dutton Hall, on Wednesday 15 June 2022.

 

Present: Councillors J Hargreaves (Chairman), M Collinge, A H Penny, M Whalley, W.R. Holden,

Clerk Mrs C Penny, Volunteer Assistant N Poovathumkadavil

 

2206.1. Apologies for Absence Cllr E Parker

 

2206.2.  The minutes of the meeting held on 4th May 2022 were confirmed and signed by the Chairman.

 

2206.3. To consider Matters Arising from the Minutes

 

Thanks were given to all who had contributed to the Jubilee Day planting and afternoon tea party. In addition thanks to Cllr Holden for putting up the tree guard and firmly attaching the plaque.

 

2206.4. Planning Applications There are no new planning applications.

2206.5.  Reports from other organisations

 

Knowle Green Hall Although Cllr Parker was unable to attend the meeting in person, she sent the council members a detailed email about the Knowle Green committee meeting on Monday 13 June. Their Jubilee BBQ was a great success and over a hundred people attended. The hall has been fully refurbished and is ready to host more events. There is a Craft and Chat group meet on Monday evening, Line Dancing on Wednesday, Zumba on Thursday and every Third Friday in the month is film night.

 

2206.6. Finance

  1. a) Website Domain – Cllr Collinge advised that this is now paid for in full and no more money needs to be spend towards website domain name.

 

  1. b) Tree and brass plaque The Clerk presented two invoices she had paid, both for £45 for the Red Oak tree and the Plaque put on the tree guard. A cheque was issued in favour of the Clerk for £90

 

2206.7. Code of Conduct No further discussion required

 

2206.8. Correspondence

  1. a) RVBC Local Plan Consultation closing date for comment is 7th Cllr Penny advised he had looked at the plan and Dutton is not specifically mentioned.

 

  1. b) Email from Peak & Northern footpath society Cllr Collinge received an email from the society about footpath improvement fund. The Dutton Parish Council does not maintain the footpaths

 

2206.9. To consider any other matters brought to the meeting

 

  1. a) Burst water main in Gallows Lane – Happening too often, clerk to write and suggest full repair.

 

  1. b) Blocked drains on Gallows Lane – Clerk to contact LCC to mention very blocked gullies/drains and mention been made worse by water flow from burst main.

           

2206.10. Date of next meeting was arranged for Monday 12th September at 7.00pm

at Dutton Hall, Gallows Lane.
