DUTTON PARISH COUNCIL

Minutes of the meeting of Dutton Parish Council, held at Dutton Hall, on Monday 12th September 2022.

Present:  Councillors J Hargreaves (Chairman) ,  M Collinge, W.R Holden,  A. H Penny       and M Whalley .          Clerk Mrs C Penny

 2209.1. Apologies for Absence  Volunteer assistant clerk Nilina Poovathumkadavil

 The Meeting started with a minutes silence in Memory of HM Queen Elizabeth II

The Chairman and Councillors then proclaimed God Save the King

 2206.2. The Minutes of the meeting held on 15th June 2022  were confirmed and signed by the Chairman.

 2209.3. To consider Matters arising from the Minutes

2206.a  & 2206.b.   Water Main bursts and resulting poor condition of the carriageway.  A joint letter  with Aighton, Bailey and Chaigley has been sent to

Steve Mogford CEO United Utilities and Simon Chadwick who has the brief for Water etc at UU. Also Nigel Evans MP, Cty Cllr Alan Schofield, Cty Cllr Rupert Swarbrick and Jan Alcock ( Ribble Valley Borough Council)

Clerk spoken to Cty Cllr Rupert Swarbrick regarding the road problems as well.  He is bringing the problems to the attention of LCC and also to his own contacts at UU.

 2209.4.  Planning Applications

For consideration between meetings

Planning Application No: 3/2022/0607 Grid Ref: 366015 438413 Proposal: Proposed field maintenance store. Location: Lane Ends Cottage Huntingdon Hall Lane Ribchester PR3 2ZT  No objections received

2209.5.  Reports from other organisations

  1. a) Knowle Green Village Hall Cllr Parker reported: After refurbishments £24k in the bank. Applying to Eric Wright Trust for funding.  Christmas Party on 2nd Dec  Hot pot supper and dancing.  Film Club 3rd Fri of each month.  Photographic Society started too.  11th Nov Food Bingo.
  2. b) Ribble Valley Local Plan – Cllr Parker had attended a meeting organised by Ribchester Parish Clerk to comment – comments sent and Cllr Parker gave all councillors a copy and outlined the chief points. Any issues to be discussed at next meeting after time to read.

2209.6. Finance

No new expenditure except for bank charges which are now incurred

 2209.7 Correspondence

  1. a) knotweed on the Dingle Cllr Collinge had been notified of knotweed in the Dingle and on land at Lennox Farm and Gannow.  She had been to look and showed the Council photos.  It was agreed that the Clerk should seek advice from LCC.   The Clerk had also made some enquiries and Alexander Silverwook of Silverwood Spraying Ltd had been recommended.  Also spoken to Adam Dugdale who is happy to work with the Parish Council on this. Clerk to approach LCC first.

 2206.8. To consider any other matters brought to the meeting

  1. a) Waste Bin has disappeared from layby at southern end of Gallows Lane. Clerk to notify RVBC.        

2206.9.  Date of next meeting was arranged for Tuesday 25th October at 7.00pm at Dutton Hall, Gallows Lane.
